Details
This eight-week, online course provides compliance professionals with a greater opportunity to participate in the training to attain the key information previously offered in the popular, in-person SAN Basics Workshop.
The online course is developed to educate on the fundamental principles of out-of-state activity compliance. Upon successfully passing the course, learners will receive a SAN Certificate of Achievement.
While there is flexibility built into the online course to accommodate busy work and life schedules, the course has weekly due dates, and all assessments must be submitted by the course’s end date. These due dates will be available in the syllabus, which becomes available on the first day of the course.
Depending on cohort member interest, those who successfully complete the online course on the fundamental principles will be eligible to participate in the in-person SAN Implementation Workshop in Fall 2025. This face-to-face training will feature the mentoring experience that was integral to the previous SAN Basics Workshop.
Cohorts for this online course are open to 50 participants. Future 2025 cohort will be available in late summer 2025.
Course Structure
This course utilizes multiple teaching and learning methods to ensure participants develop a true understanding of the topic. Interactive content, reading assignments, discussion forums, and assessments will reinforce key course concepts.
Weekly due dates for assessments are included in the course syllabus, and all assessments must be submitted by the course end date. While the time commitment is variable, learners can expect to spend an average of 1 to 3 hours a week on the course. The time commitment will vary based on your prior knowledge of the course topic, experience, and comfort level in the online course environment.
Your online course will be fully browser-based utilizing the Canvas learning management system platform.
